Yessir, Mr. President ...

Amazing. After years of some, um, shall we say, less-than-loving neighbor interactions, Grady has just been elected President of the newly formed road association. Of course, I'm sure certain less-than-loving neighbors didn't vote for him but - as we've found most folks on the street to be good peeps - he got enough votes to win.

Ah, the Smell of Septic in the Morning ...

Ok, technically, it was afternoon. I worked from home last Wednesday. Of course, I happened to pick the day that Grady was having the septic tank pumped. He claims it didn't smell at all in the back yard - but the vents definitely sent a lovely aroma into the house. Well, at least our septic tank is all nice-n-clean now ... the septic guys said they didn't think it had ever been pumped. Heck, it's only been 50+ years.

New Washer & Dryer ...

The new set arrived last week. Grady hooked them up Saturday ... so that meant today was laundry day.

Bathroom No. 2 ...

There's still some finishing work to do (trim n' stuff) but calling it done for now ... after 5 years living here (7 years owning the place), we now have a completely functioning 2nd bathroom.
